Some Trees Falls Against Extreme Weather in the Capital Region
Id Nasional. Heavy rain and strong winds that hit Jakarta on Wednesday (12/12), resulted in a number of fallen trees at least at three points in South Jakarta. In addition, there were cars that were hit by fallen trees in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta.
Based on data from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Data and Information Center, the first point is in the Tebet area. Falling trees occur right in front of Kota Kasablanka mall, around 13:15 WIB. The handling of the incident was immediately carried out by the DKI Forestry Service.
The second point of the fallen tree occurred on Jalan Kalibata Selatan, Pancoran, at around 13:30 WIB. The event was handled by the Forestry Service and the Management of Public Facilities and Facilities (PPSU).
The third point on Jalan Pertani IV, Duren Tiga. At this location, overlapping trees overwrite PLN's cables at around 13.53 WIB. The event was then handled by the Forestry Service and PLN.
Meanwhile, the South Jakarta Forest Service Office said fallen trees also occurred in the area of Jalan Limau Muhammadiyah High School, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, and hit a car.
Head of South Jakarta Forestry Sub-Department, M Yuswardi, said that his office had deployed a number of officers to handle the incident of the fallen tree.
"At present, they are currently handling the 1 and 2 busers. There is also a team in Kebayoran Baru," Yuswardi said when contacted by reporters on Wednesday (12/12)
Until now, continued Yuswardi, his side still could not ascertain the number of fallen trees in the South Jakarta region.
Contacted separately, Head of DKI Jakarta BPBD Jupan Royter said the handling of the fallen tree event would be carried out by his party in coordination with the relevant SKPD.
"There are in several locations (fallen trees), we coordinate with the relevant SKPD," said Jupan.
