PAN Central Board of Leaders Asks South Sumatra Regional Leadership Council to Penalize Cadres for Supporting Jokowi
Pojok Nasional. The National Mandate Party (DPP) Council (PAN) regretted the existence of a number of party cadres in South Sumatra who declared support for the pair Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin. This attitude was contrary to the party's decision which had been carrying Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno from the start. DPP Secretary General PAN Eddy Soeparno instructed DPW PAN South Sumatra to take decisive action. "We instruct the PAN DPW South Sumatra to immediately convey information and facts on the ground to the DPP and take the necessary actions to provide sanctions against voluntary cadres," Eddy said in a written statement on Thursday (12/13/2018).
According to Eddy, from the temporary information received, the defected cadres were not in the structure. Eddy stressed that their steps clearly violated the party's decision in the August Rakernas to support the Prabowo-Sandi candidate pair. "We do not tolerate actions outside the party's provisions. Our DPW asks to act decisively and take the necessary steps in accordance with the party's provisions," he said. Eddy asserted that all the management structures and cadres must be loyal to carry out the mandate of the National Working Meeting to win the 2019 Pileg and Presidential Election. Eddy dismissed the notion that there was a split in party management. "Not really. They are non-productive administrators and cadres. We actually suspect they are using this moment to seek personal benefits by making a declaration to the candidate pair 01. Everything is solid and under control," said Eddy. A total of 25 DPW PAN Sumatera Selatan cadres declared themselves to support Joko Widodo -Amir M'aruf in the upcoming 2019 presidential election. The support was delivered at Rumah Bari restaurant Palembang, South Sumatra (Sumsel) on Wednesday (12/12/2018).
Even a 5x2 meter banner was also posted and said "Cadres and sympathizers of the DPW of the South Sumatra National Mandate Party supported Ir H Joko Widodo and KH Ma'ruf Amin as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2019-2024". Sholahudin said, one of those who claimed to be a PAN DPW Sumsel cadre explained, they conveyed the declaration because they felt the positive impact of Jokowi's development during his tenure as President.
